Job Title:Music Therapist - School BasedPay Range:$40-$50 per hourJob Description:$40-$50/hr. | Part -Time | Dallas, TX | School-Based | MT-BC Certification RequiredAbout the Role: Provide music therapy services to students with disabilities in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct music therapy to support students' communication, social-emotional, cognitive, and motor goals. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into each student's IEP and maximize outcomes.Why Join Us:CEU/license reimbursement and tuition assistanceFull benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)Paid sick leave, holidays, and vacationWhat You'll Do:Conduct formalized and functional assessments to determine eligibility and baseline functioningDevelop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans aligned with IEP goalsProvide direct music therapy services targeting communication, social-emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and/or motor skillsComplete and maintain compliant IEPs; participate in annual and triennial reviewsCollaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support skill generalization across settingsMaintain accurate session notes, assessment data, and progress documentationParticipate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute clinical recommendationsWhat We're Looking For:Must Have:Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)Bachelor's degree or higher in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program, or equivalent courseworkDOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearanceStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationPreferred:One or more years of experience providing music therapy in a school or pediatric settingFamiliarity with special education law, IEP processes, and ARD meetingsKnowledge of evidence-based music therapy practices for diverse populationsExperience working with students with autism, communication disorders, or other developmental disabilitiesAbout Point Quest Group: Point Quest Group is a leading national provider of special education services, partnering with 350+ school districts to help students with unique needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
