Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a meaningful role supporting K-12 students as an Instructional Assistant in a welcoming school environment near Huntington Beach, CA. This contract opportunity plays a vital part in fostering student growth by providing flexible, school-based support. You'll enjoy regular hours—working six hours a day, thirty per week—within a dynamic team, making a real difference from the first day of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school-based special education setting
- Strong background as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Assistant
- Flexibility to float between different classrooms and buildings
- Comfort working with a diverse range of ages in K-12
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instructional support across K-12 classrooms
- Assist lead teachers with implementing IEPs, modifying assignments, and promoting student engagement
- Provide support to students needing specialized assistance, both educationally and behaviorally
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt strategies as needed
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
The pay rate for this role is $20 per hour, accompanied by a highly competitive benefits package through ProCare.
