Floor Manager

Position Overview: Ghost Isle Brewery is seeking a motivated and hands-on Floor Manager to help lead our front of house operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily front of house operations to ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and attentive service Step into various roles as needed (server, host, bar support) to keep service running smoothly Maintain high standards for food and beverage quality before items reach guests Communicate effectively with kitchen and host staff to ensure efficient service flow Address guest concerns professionally and create positive interactions that drive repeat business Train and support team members across multiple positions Enforce proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in compliance with local regulations Assist in scheduling and ensure proper staffing levels during shifts Oversee opening and closing procedures, including daily server checkouts Monitor overall presentation, cleanliness, and service standards throughout the shift Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and fire regulations Take on additional responsibilities as needed with a positive, team-first attitude What We're Looking For: Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to stay organized and composed in a high-volume environment Willingness to be hands-on and support the team wherever needed Prior restaurant or bar management experience preferred Commitment to hospitality, teamwork, and high service standards Position Details: Part-time and Full-time positions available Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Opportunity to grow with a developing brewery team The Sima Family has owned the 3.5-acre site where Ghost Isle Brewery Bar & Restaurant now sits since the 1950s when Jim's grandfather purchased hundreds of acres in New Buffalo, MI. The Brewery overlooks 156 acres of wetlands that was donated by the Sima Family to Chikaming Open Lands, a non-profit organization that now maintains this Michigan state-designated "critical wetlands." The beautiful, sweeping wetlands view to be enjoyed by patrons of Ghost Isle carries the name "Louis J Sima Great Lakes Marsh," after Jim's beloved Grandfather Louis J Sima.
