Human Resource Lead

Build Your Career with Rural King Rural King is seeking a Human Resources Lead to support store-level human resources operations and create a positive associate experience. This role partners with store leadership to support recruiting, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, training, benefits administration, performance management, and associate engagement. The HR Lead serves as a resource for associates and leaders while helping build a workplace culture centered around People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement. Related Job Titles HR Coordinator HR Assistant Recruiter Talent Acquisition Coordinator Employee Relations Coordinator Staffing Coordinator Training Coordinator What You’ll Do Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Review applications, conduct phone screenings, and assist with candidate selection for open positions. Coordinate interviews and support a positive candidate experience. Assist with hiring events, community recruiting efforts, and local talent initiatives. Associate Support & HR Operations Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientations, and required documentation. Maintain accurate associate records, HRIS information, attendance records, and employment documentation. Support benefits administration, leave management, and HR reporting. Serve as a trusted resource for associates by answering questions and providing guidance. Employee Relations, Training & Compliance Partner with Store Managers and HR Business Partners on employee relations, performance coaching, and associate development. Assist with workplace investigations, documentation, and policy compliance. Coordinate training programs including onboarding, safety, workplace policies, and role-specific development. Support store safety initiatives, accident reporting, safety audits, and compliance efforts. Store Support Maintain confidentiality of associate and company information. Communicate company programs, benefits, wellness initiatives, and important updates. Provide professional support to associates, leaders, and Store Support Center partners. Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or related experience preferred. Experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, HR administration, or associate engagement. Knowledge of HR practices, employment policies, and workplace compliance. Experience using HRIS, ATS, or other computer-based systems preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build relationships and collaborate with associates and leadership at all levels. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously improve. Preferred Experience Retail or multi-location operations Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) Human Capital Management (HCM) systems Recruiting and interviewing Employee relations Benefits administration Training coordination Performance management Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to navigate and access all store facilities. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
