LEAD POLICE OFFICER

Summary You will serve as a LEAD POLICE OFFICER in the DEPT OF THE NAVY of NAVAL WEAPONS STATION EARLE SECURITY DETACHMENT. Responsibilities You will respond to and investigate complaints while interpreting and enforcing laws and regulations. You will instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques and make available written instructions, reference materials and supplies. You will perform a full range of force protection, anti-terrorism and sentry duties at installations or activities. You will detect and investigate unusual situations and take required action to resolve various incidents and request additional support, if necessary. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Deploying specialized or advanced techniques, equipment, knowledge, or training; 3) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; and 4) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
