Surgical Technologist 2 (Surg Tech)

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist 2 to join the Labor and Delivery team. This role will be PRN variable shifts and schedules. Working days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays as needed by the department. Surgical Technologist 2 Job Responsibilities Demonstrates advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical technique. Demonstrates responsible behavior as a healthcare professional. Identifies variances from expected outcomes and responds to changes in patient needs. The Surgical Technologist 2 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon, which includes passing instruments, sutures, and other items appropriate to the procedure. Serves as a resource in at least 2 specialty areas/procedures. May perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent Experience: 1 years of Surgical Technologist experience or equivalent Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start. License: Registered Surgical Technologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start.
