We are looking for an energetic, self-learner, responsible, and hardworking Low Voltage Technician to join our Hardware Services Team at the largest IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) in Long Island. You will be working on a team responsible for supporting and maintaining the technology our clients use to run their businesses. The position requires you to travel to our client's sites.Structured CablingPerform Cable installation, including Data, Voice, Fiber, and PagingTermination, Labeling, Testing and Dressing of cablingInstallation of Data Equipment including Racks, Patch Panels, Cable Trays, and J-HooksBuildout of MDF/IDF ClosetsRack and Stack of network devices as required in network closetsAbility to perform repairs by troubleshooting existing cabling system issuesAccess ControlPerform installation of Access Control CablingInstallation and final wiring of Access Control Boards, Readers, and REX DevicesAbility to configure Users, Groups, Schedules, Doors, and Credentials via Access Control SoftwareExperience with installation of Wireless and Electronic Locks a plusIP SurveillancePerform Cable installation for IP CamerasPhysical installation of various CCTV camera typesInstall and Program DVR Recording UnitsConfigure Analytics such as Face Detection and Recognition, People Tracking, Motion Detection, LPR, Intrusion and Perimeter ProtectionAdditional SkillsetsProject ManagementIndustry-specific Manufacturer and BICSI training and/or certifications a plusAbility to read Blueprints and Cable SchematicsNetworking knowledge of Routers and SwitchesDrive company vehicles and operate a variety of tools, such as hand tools, power tools, ladders, Scissor Lifts and Test EquipmentOur company culture is relaxed but engaged.
