Chief of Hematology and Oncology (CHO) About the Company Respected community hospital Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief of Hematology and Oncology to oversee its comprehensive cancer center, which is dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, and surgeons in the delivery of high-quality oncologic and hematologic services. This role is pivotal in maintaining the center's Commission on Cancer designation and requires a strong commitment to a comprehensive, patient-focused approach to treatment. The Chief will also be involved in clinical, leadership, and research activities, with a focus on advancing cancer and hematologic treatments. Applicants must have a Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution, a New York State Medical License, and Board Certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology. A minimum of 5 years' of clinical and leadership experience in the field is essential, along with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in providing direct clinical care, leading the strategic direction of the service line, and collaborating with hospital leadership to optimize resources and develop new patient services. The Chief will also be expected to contribute to medical education and actively participate in clinical research.
