With over 30,000 team members, we foster a forward?thinking culture grounded in trust, dignity, respect, responsibility, and clinical excellence.Role OverviewAs a Radiation Therapist – Proton, you will deliver highly precise radiation treatments—including proton, photon, and electron therapy—to support exceptional oncology care. You'll collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, maintain rigorous accuracy in treatment delivery, and ensure patient safety through exceptional attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing proton, photon, electron, and other radiation therapy treatment plansAdminister ionizing radiation treatments as prescribedFollow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsPrepare treatment rooms and explain procedures to patientsMonitor therapy sessions for alignment, treatment accuracy, and patient conditionPerform CT simulations and fabricate immobilization devicesConduct staging procedures in dedicated immobilization roomsUtilize kV, CBCT, and surface/image?guided positioning systemsAdjust to shifting work needs due to single-room proton operationsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsCertification & Licensure – RequiredState of Florida Radiation Therapy LicenseARRT Registration & Certification (Radiologic Technologist)RTT Certification from an accredited radiation therapy programBLS CertificationEducation – RequiredHave completed an accredited Radiation Therapy educational programHold the educational requirements needed for ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (Typically includes successful completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiation Therapy program)ExperienceRequired: At least 1 year in Radiation OncologyExceptional accuracy in patient positioning techniques (critical for proton therapy)Preferred: Proton therapy experienceTotal Rewards & BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision insurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Tuition Assistance401(k) Match + Annual ContributionsAnnual Performance Appraisals & Team Bonus ProgramWellness resources & family supportCommunity perks & discountsJoin BayCare and help advance the future of cancer care through cutting?edge proton therapy.
