Job Shift Direct Patient Care

Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant implements treatment programs under the guidance and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This position strives to maximize function and movement, minimize physical limitations, and increase independence and participation of each child through providing therapeutic techniques, equipment, and opportunities.

Duty - Percent of Time

Performs individualized treatment procedures in a professional and compassionate manner to maximize the child's performance. - 70%

Collaborates and communicates effectively with members of the patient care team; performs timely and accurate documentation and stays up to date on the most recent Physical Therapy techniques through research and CE. - 20%

Participates in staff training, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities. - 5%

Other duties as assigned. - 5%

Qualifications

Education: - Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Experience: - Pediatric experience preferred.

License/Certification/Credential: - Physical Therapist Assistant license from the state of Oklahoma or proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with a temporary license.
