Reporting to the Department Manager, this position plays a critical role in coordinating preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on leaders with strong technical expertise and a commitment to safety and operational excellence./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliSupervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to ensure efficient daily operations/liliOversee and participate in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment/liliDevelop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life/liliEnforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment/liliRespond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production disruptions, coordinating emergency repairs as needed/liliMonitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of required components/liliIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness/liliMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance documentation/liliCollaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support seamless operations and continuous improvement/li/ulh3Who You Are/h3ulli5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry/lili2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience/liliAssociate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field, preferred/liliStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems/liliWelding and fabrication experience, preferred/liliProven problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues/liliFamiliarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office/liliStrong understanding of OSHA safety standards and industrial safety best practices/liliEffective communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead teams and influence outcomes/li/ulh3Physical Abilities/h3ulliPerform work in a manufacturing or plant environment/liliStand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility as required/liliLift, carry, and handle materials as needed/liliMeet additional physical requirements necessary to support job responsibilities/li/ulh3What Youll Get/h3pAtlas Tube at Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
