Production Supervisor

Job Description Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of quality food ingredients and products, has an immediate need for an experienced Production Supervisor, to join their winning team in Jacksonville. Our candidate of choice will supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of equipment to manufacture parts or products within our production facility. You will supervise 15-50 employees involved in the production of printed circuit boards, custom electrical panels and injection molded components. Key Responsibilities Front line leader charged with running the day-to-day operations on the shop floor and making decisions on employment of equipment and resources. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and ensure all employees engage in safe work practices and follow prescribed rules and regulations at all times. Develops individual training plans and develops team members to meet the needs of the manufacturing operations. Develops cross-training plans for backups in all areas. Interprets specifications, work instructions, and job orders and assigns and coaches workers toward accomplishment of safety, quality, and productivity targets. Participates in Daily Management meetings and interfaces production scheduling to ensure customer deadlines are met. Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders and production schedule. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Actively pursues continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery and people development. Analyzes and resolves work problems or coaches workers in applying problem solving techniques. Prioritizes multiple projects and competing job responsibilities and requirements to ensure the proper objectives are met. Performs other routine duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; maintaining time and attendance; realizing, developing and implementing continuous improvement activities; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Key Requirements High School Diploma or GED Three to five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Must complete and pass IPC Qualified Electronics Assembler Certification (IPC Safety, IPC ESD, IPC Handling and IPC Overview) during onboarding with CCK Employment.
