UVP is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its in-house Legal & Compliance team. This position is hybrid in Dallas, Texas. PositionSummary Thisrolewillsupportabroadrangeoflegalmattersacrossphysicianpracticemanagement,ASCpartnershipmodels,healthcareregulatorycompliance,andemploymentlaw. The Associate Attorney will work closely with physicians, operational leaders and cross-functional teams to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance that aligns with UVP's physician-centric mission & growth strategy. This is an ideal role for a healthcare attorney who enjoys being embedded in the business, values collaboration over silos and wants to help shape a growing, multi-state healthcare platform. KeyResponsibilities Advisehealthcareprovidersandorganizationsonregulatorycompliance,includingstateandfederalhealthcarelaws. SupportmattersinvolvingHIPAA,privacy,andconfidentialitypoliciesandprocedures. Draftandreviewhealthcare-relatedcontracts,includingprovideragreements,employmentagreements,andvendorcontracts. Assistwithinvestigations,audits,andresponsestoregulatoryagencies. Provideguidanceoncorporatepracticeofmedicine,licensing,andoperationalcompliance(asapplicable). Employment/Labor Adviseemployersonworkplacecompliance,includingwageandhour,discrimination,leavelaws,andemployeediscipline. Draftandreviseemploymentagreements,handbooks,andworkplacepolicies. Assistwithinternalinvestigationsandemployeerelationsmatters. Supportlitigationmattersincludingadministrativecharges(EEOC/stateagencies),demandletters,andemployment-relateddisputes. Conductlegalresearchandpreparememoranda,pleadings,anddiscoverymaterials. General Legal Support Managemattersefficientlyunderattorneysupervisionwhilemeetingdeadlines. Communicateclearlywithclientsandmaintainstrongclientservicestandards. Collaboratewithattorneysandstafftosupportcasestrategyandexecution. Qualifications JurisDoctor(J.D)fromanaccreditedlawschool. Activebarlicenseingoodstanding(state-specificifneeded). 5+yearsofrelevantlegalexperience. Strongbackgroundinhealthcarelawandemployment/laborlawstronglypreferred. Experienceworkingwithhealthcareproviders(physiciangroups,hospitals,clinics,long-termcare,etc.). FamiliaritywithHIPAA,Stark/Anti-Kickbackbasics,licensing,andprovidercontracting. Stronglegalresearch,writing,anddraftingskills. Abilitytomanagemultiplemattersinafast-pacedenvironment. In-houseorhealthcareplatformexperience. ExperiencesupportingphysicianpracticemanagementorASCpartnershipmodels. Comfortworkinginaprivate-equity-backedenvironment.
