Actuarial Analyst II

What we need Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) seeks an experienced actuarial analyst to join the Actuarial Leadership Development program. The program supports corporate strategy in competitiveness, affordability, profitability, provider payment reform, and health care policy. Your Day to Day Work with a rich dataset and the Enterprise Data Warehouse to identify emerging drivers of health care trends and cost, market pressures, and profitability. Design compelling visualizations and build innovative models to influence and analyze new products, provider payment structures, and health care delivery mechanisms. Make recommendations to various customers/departments, lead and/or assist in development of processes and analyses to determine financial performance, and participate in determining objectives of significant projects or assignments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Math, Business, Healthcare or related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years professional experience, preferably in healthcare or related industry. Minimum of 4 completed actuarial exams required. Minimum of 3 years experience in data analysis, extraction, and manipulation using tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, etc. strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience developing data visualizations in tools such as Tableau and analytic automation (scripting, macros) strongly preferred. What You Bring Ability to communicate (written & verbal) and collaborate with various business partners, including clinical, technical, and non-technical staff. Proven ability to constantly innovate. Commitment to participate in the Actuarial Leadership Development Program and obtain FSA designation.
