Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery/Perinatal high volume delivery service License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS Provider certification, Neonatal Resuscitation certification, Advanced Life Support, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: - BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Registered Nurse license - Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) - Advanced Life Support certification - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification Description: A Level IV Client Designation facility consisting of 26 labor delivery recovery suites, 6 C-section suites, 14 women's emergency department rooms, and 51 mother-baby couplet rooms. This facility operates 24/7 with in-house attending obstetric coverage and anesthesia coverage. It conducts high-risk, fast-paced deliveries, performing over 500 deliveries per month. An academic teaching service is included, as well as large private obstetric practices. This position is specifically for the Women's Emergency Department, previously known as OB Triage, that is opening in a new facility. 3 years minimum of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service is required. Preferred qualifications include 3-5 years of perinatal clinical experience in high volume delivery service, S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification, and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification is also preferred.
