Phlebotomist - Richburg Primary Care

Job Description Summary The primary function of this position is to collect patient samples of blood, ensure proper labeling and chain of custody is followed, deliver samples as appropriate to proper storage in a timely manner for processing, collect chain of custody urine drug screens and other urine samples as required, assist in other duties as needed, cover all MUSC Health locations and require flexibility to be assigned to and rotate to all sites as needed. Reports to Practice Manager on day‑to‑day operations. Communicates to providers and back‑office staff regarding patient care. Job Description Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Additional Job Description Education: High School Degree is required.
