Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician (Industrial Flow Systems)

Location: Campbellsville, KY

Shift: 6:00am–2:30pm (Mon–Fri); overtime as needed until 4:30pm

You begin your day at the bench or on the shop floor, reviewing the work order and assembly drawings. With calibrated tools at hand, you build to standard work and bill of materials, fastening to exact torque and verifying every step. You’ll set up a pneumatic or manual press for a subassembly, stamp or label components for traceability, and run functional tests—manual and automated—to confirm specification compliance. Before your shift closes, you’ll paint, label, and pack finished product, record hour-by-hour output, update the cell communication board, and leave a spotless, 5S-ready workstation.

• Assemble multiple product models following standard work/job breakdown sheets, bills of materials, work orders, and assembly drawings.
• Secure components using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, and other fasteners to defined torque specifications.
• Set up and operate pneumatic and manual presses to support assembly operations.
• Configure and run identification tools (e.g., stampers, labelers) for part and unit marking.
• Test units with manual and automated equipment to verify compliance with all specifications.
• Paint, label, and package completed products for shipment.
• Meet daily productivity and quality objectives for the department.
• Follow ISO processes and all safety requirements; wear and maintain required PPE.
• Keep the Team Lead informed of equipment issues, supply/tool needs, and any machine malfunctions.
• Move product to and from stock as required.
• Perform in-process inspections/tests and make corrections to meet standard work and Procedures for Qualification (PFQ).
• Report nonconforming material to the team lead immediately.
• Communicate changes in work orders, bills of materials, or pick lists to the team lead.
• Contribute updates to department/cell communication boards.
• Sign off on work order cover sheets and complete hour-by-hour production logs each day.
• Maintain 5S discipline and escalate safety concerns without delay.
• Participate in—and at times lead—continuous improvement events and training.
• Recommend improvements to processes and tooling for better safety, quality, and throughput.
• Cross-train across multiple product lines to support team flexibility.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Thorough understanding of workplace rules, policies, and safety procedures; unwavering commitment to safe work practices.
• Experience-based judgment to plan work and achieve goals.
• Ability to learn and operate job-related equipment, including power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.
• Skill in identifying routine issues, implementing corrective actions, and a willingness to learn.
• Working knowledge of standard work instructions and documentation.
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Aptitude to thrive in a manufacturing setting; detail-focused and self-driven.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred (in addition to the minimum requirements).
• Proficiency with hand tools: wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding tools.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment use and understanding of production processes.
• Experience with power tools.
• Basic computer literacy for production and quality systems.

• This role is based on-site.
