Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift assignment at a Level II trauma medical center, requiring 2+ years of RRT experience.

Details

• Level II trauma medical center offering 24-hour emergency care
• Respiratory Care unit
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 6 on, 8 off schedule, Wednesday through Monday
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Active RRT certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Active Michigan (MI) license required if applicable
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required through the American Heart Association
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to Respiratory Therapy required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• Previous travel work experience preferred

Additional Information

• Administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system, independently or in consultation with a physician
• Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers
• Respond immediately to Rapid Responses, arrests, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways and providing respiratory and cardiac support
• Set up and maintain oxygen delivery per protocol
• Provide CPR and life support during emergency situations
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
