Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, plus winter holiday coverage (must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)

• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Navy blue scrubs provided; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required; SICU experience may be considered if initial training in a CVICU was completed
• Must have hands-on experience with fresh post-operative cardiac cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
• Required device experience: Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be willing to float within skillset to all ICUs, PACU ICU holds, ED ICU holds, and Cardiac IMC units
• At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Former employees of this health system must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Clinical Skills Required:

• Cardiovascular: Post-op open heart recovery, CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, temporary pacers, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG
• Respiratory/Thoracic: Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tube insertion/removal assistance, ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning
• IV Therapy: A-lines, central/PICC lines, IV starts, blood product administration, titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, emergency medications, IV insulin protocols
• Renal/Neurological: Chronic/acute renal failure, CVVHD/CRRT, CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, lumbar drains
• General: Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy
