Universal Athletic Club is expanding its Pilates Reformer program and is looking for enthusiastic, engaging coaches to join our growing team.

Our Pilates program delivers professionally designed, progressive Reformer workouts that emphasize proper movement, strength, mobility, core stability, and long-term results. You'll coach members through safe, effective, and motivating classes while creating an exceptional member experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This is NOT a traditional or classical Pilates studio position.

Universal Athletic Club offers a contemporary, fitness-focused Reformer program that blends functional movement, strength training, mobility, athletic performance, and core development in a dynamic group fitness environment.

Our instructors coach members through pre-designed, progressive workouts rather than creating their own class programming. We are looking for energetic coaches who enjoy leading groups, motivating members, improving movement quality, and helping people become stronger and more confident through fitness.

If your passion is coaching functional fitness on the Reformer, you'll love this role. If you're seeking a traditional or classical Pilates teaching environment, or prefer creating your own class programming, this position is probably not the right fit.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applicants from a variety of fitness and movement backgrounds, including:

• Group Fitness Instructors
• Personal Trainers
• Athletic Trainers
• Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
• Exercise Physiologists
• Exercise Science or Kinesiology Graduates
• Other movement professionals who enjoy coaching, teaching, and inspiring others

Pilates Reformer certification is not required.

We're looking for outstanding coaches with great communication skills and a passion for helping others. Universal Athletic Club provides comprehensive training in our chosen Reformer training system, making this an excellent opportunity for fitness professionals looking to expand their skill set.

What You'll Do

• Lead safe, engaging Pilates Reformer classes for up to 12 participants.
• Coach members of varying fitness levels by providing appropriate progressions, regressions, and modifications.
• Deliver professionally designed, progressive programming that ensures consistency, safety, and member success.
• Provide exceptional coaching, cueing, and instruction with an emphasis on technique and member experience.
• Build positive relationships with members while creating an encouraging, motivating class environment.
• Follow established operating procedures and programming standards while contributing to a positive team culture.

Availability

We are seeking instructors with availability for one or more of the following:

• Weekday mornings (approximately 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
• Weekday evenings (approximately 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
• Weekends (approximately 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

Qualifications

Preferred

• Experience leading group exercise, personal training, or other movement-based coaching.
• Outstanding coaching, cueing, communication, and customer service skills.
• Professional, energetic, dependable, and relationship-focused.
• Team-oriented with excellent attendance and reliability.
• Willingness to complete Universal Athletic Club's Reformer instructor training program and teach within our established programming.

CPR/AED certification is required to teach but is not required prior to hire. Universal Athletic Club provides complimentary in-house CPR/AED certification for team members who need it.
