Manufacturer Sales Rep (Southern California)

We are seeking a Manufacturer Sales Rep to drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand market presence within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who excels at identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and delivering outstanding customer service while representing a diverse portfolio of products.

Position Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events.

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing account support.

Sales & Account Management

• Prepare quotes, proposals, and pricing recommendations.
• Negotiate sales agreements and close new business opportunities.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for account growth.

Product Knowledge & Technical Support

• Maintain a thorough understanding of product features, applications, and industry trends.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Market Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM records.
• Provide insights to support business planning and product development initiatives.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in outside sales, manufacturer representative, or territory sales roles.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage a sales territory.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

• Certified Professional Manufacturers’ Representative (CPMR).
• Certified Sales Professional (CSP).
• Industry-related sales or technical certifications.
