Insurance Agent Responsibilities Focus almost exclusively on the prospect identification and conversion process where you can confidently advise, close and warmly transfer the new client to a team member who is responsible for the post‑sale and account maintenance, so you are free to continue your quest for new clients Retain existing clients through your involvement in policy renewal reviews and assisting with other servicing as needed The mix of time spent and revenue from new business to existing business is expected to be approximately 70/30 Qualifications / Skills Prospecting skills Meeting sales goals Motivation for sales Product knowledge Organizational and time management skills Attention to detail Strong listening and oral and written communication skills Ability to close sales and follow through on commitments Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Proven record of successful sales experience Location The candidate will be based in the Lake Elmo, MN office, with the potential for a combination of onsite and remote after a proven track record of success. The pay rate for the first year is a base salary of $2,000 per month plus 50% of new business commissions earned by the agency that you have produced.
