Position: RN-Med Surge Tele
Location: 1201 W Frank Ave, Lufkin, TX 75904
Duration: 12 weeks with possible extension
Shift: (3x12) and (4x12 ) Shift
Guaranteed hours: 36 and 48 hour per

Transitioned to VIC (virtual integrated care nursing model)
Must work the schedule given - rotating every other week. 1st week: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat. 2nd week: Sun, Wed, Thurs

Common diagnosis / Types of patients chf, diabetes, Client, CKD, m/s tele
Experience or 'Must have' skills great communication and time management,
Are RN's required to titrate drips n/a
Common titratable &/or set rate drips
Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips? tele monitor techs monitor patients but RNs have to be able to read strips
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Charge Nurse and House Supervisors and Nurse Educators available
Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios PCTs are present 12/1
RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients
Shifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts scheduling is by manager, cannot guarantee block scheduling
Weekend Requirement every other weekend required
Holiday Requirement holidays are required
Call or Standby Requirement n/a
Floating Requirements will float to all med/surg units.
Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy blue
Unit/Department Specific Orientation Kurth tower is all med/surg tele and department orientation is completed.
