Job Skills / Requirements

Position: Armed Security Officer


Location: Hazleton, PA

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday | 8:15am-4:30pm

Pay: $20.00 per hour


Must have current ACT 235 certification, license to carry firearm, personal firearm ownership, and armed gear.


We're seeking a professional, dependable Armed Security Officer to provide a safe and secure environment at a high-traffic public building. In this role, you'll interact with visitors, employees, and the public while maintaining a visible security presence and responding appropriately to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the facility and maintain a visible security presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help ensure the safety of visitors and staff.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns according to established procedures.
• Complete accurate reports and document daily activities.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing site policies and procedures.
• Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current armed security certification/license.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and alert in a public-facing environment.
• Previous military, law enforcement, corrections, or security experience is preferred but not required.
