Baker and Packager Associate

Position Summary Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes, and staying organized? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members. This role requires following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members receive the freshest items available for take‑home to their families. You may have to juggle several tasks quickly while also assisting members with their bakery orders. What you’ll do Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with team members; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes/make‑up instructions; wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Commit to operational excellence, maintaining the work area according to company policies; ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the bakery area and modeling high‑quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
