Financial Controller

SL Shaw & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Comptroller to oversee the financial operations of our real estate development, construction, and property management companies. The Comptroller will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, and financial oversight across multiple entities. This individual will work closely with ownership to provide strategic financial guidance while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Develop and manage company budgets. Construction & Property Accounting Oversee job costing, work-in-progress reporting, lender draws, and AIA pay applications. Monitor project profitability, change orders, and project budgets. Oversee tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, and property management accounting. Compliance & Leadership Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with outside CPAs. Ensure compliance with lender, regulatory, and tax requirements. Develop accounting policies and internal controls. Supervise accounting staff and improve financial processes. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to ownership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting. Experience with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
