Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting where patients remain in the same room throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Circulate and recover patients for cesarean section procedures in dedicated OR suites on the unit
• Staff triage beds and manage obstetric triage patients in accordance with AWHONN staffing standards
• Titrate drips including Pitocin protocol, Magnesium protocol, and occasional Insulin drips per established protocols
• Attend deliveries, complete newborn assessments and care within the first two hours, and provide postpartum couplet care
• Float to other system Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or Antepartum units within the Treasure Valley region as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Mother-baby experience required
• Current NRP, BLS, ACLS, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications
• Experience with magnesium administration and titration
• Ability to attend deliveries, perform newborn stabilization and physical assessment, circulate C-sections, and provide postpartum couplet care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of mother-baby or postpartum experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Familiarity with Centricity EFM system and Epic EMR
• Experience caring for high-acuity OB patients including those receiving magnesium for hypertension, TOLACs, and gestational diabetes management
