This individual will work across engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams to design, analyze, validate, and optimize thermal management solutions while supporting business growth through technical expertise and customer engagement.The role will include:Designing and developing advanced thermal management products and solutions for customer applicationsApplying heat transfer principles including conduction, convection, and two-phase thermal technologiesAnalyzing and predicting performance of thermal systems such as heat pipes, vapor chambers, thermosiphons, and refrigeration systemsCreating 3D models, product designs, and manufacturing drawings using approved CAD softwarePerforming CFD analysis using tools such as FloTHERM, Icepak, or equivalent software packagesDesigning and executing experiments to validate product performance and optimize thermal designsBuilding, testing, and evaluating prototypes in a laboratory environmentCollaborating with technicians to fabricate, assemble, and validate prototype hardwareDeveloping technical reports, engineering documentation, proposals, datasheets, and customer presentationsSupporting sales teams through proposal development, thermal analysis, customer visits, and technical solution recommendationsAssisting with cost estimates, bids, and other customer-facing technical documentationPresenting technical information to engineers, customers, and senior leadershipMentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and techniciansBasic (Required) QualificationsBachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related engineering discipline5+ years of relevant experience.Boyd Thermal by Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active duty military exempt from radius requirements.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree (M.S. or M.E.) or Ph.D. in Engineering with a specialization in Heat Transfer, Thermal Sciences, or a related disciplineExperience with two-phase thermal systems and advanced cooling technologiesKnowledge of heat pipes, vapor chambers, thermosiphons, and refrigeration systemsExperience with CFD software such as FloTHERM, Icepak, or similar thermal simulation toolsHands-on laboratory experience including prototype development and testingExperience supporting customer proposals, technical sales efforts, or business development activitiesExperience authoring technical papers, journal publications, or research reportsStrong understanding of heat transfer fundamentals, including conduction and convectionExperience creating engineering designs and detailed drawings using CAD softwareExperience conducting engineering analysis and interpreting technical resultsAbility to design experiments, execute testing, and analyze dataAbility to independently prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentationEEO StatementBoyd Corp is an equal opportunity employer.
