Supply Chain Manager, Battery Cell

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to support our end-to-end battery cell supply chain development for Tesla products. This role will report to ourSr.Supply Chain Group Manager and in parallel be an activesourcingresource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla.

The Battery Cell SCM plays a pivotal role in shaping Tesla's future product roadmap, battery cell sourcing, and overall supply chain strategy. This position demands high engagement in battery design and manufacturing processes to make decisions aligned with Tesla's best interests. Tesla is afast moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. The successful candidate will be a self-starter;motivated with overall strategic sourcingexpertise.

• Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy for battery cells encompassing the full product lifecycle (cost analysis, contract negotiations, line ramp-ups, daily supply management, risk mitigation, and program sunsetting)

• Drive supplier performance, prioritizing continuity of supply with factory teams

• Lead cost analysis, drive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad hoc price negotiations, evaluate supplier core competencies, and competitive positioning using should cost models

• Analyze supplier proposals and line up roadmaps to match Tesla future developments, working with engineering to evaluate product tradeoffs (cost, performance, timelines)

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience

• Ability tooperatein a fast-changing environment while handling diverse responsibilities

• Demonstratedexpertisein manufacturing processes and a keen interest in the battery cell processes

• Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills

• 4+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or battery engineering
