Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (Up to 2 days/week telework) Compensation: $223,000 – $250,000 + 15% employer 401(k) contribution

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to support TO-005, Report Authoring and Dissemination (RAD). This transformative role will focus on designing, prototyping, and integrating AI advancements into the RAD architecture, enhancing workflows, augmenting human intelligence, and increasing the overall effectiveness of intelligence operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Lead the design, prototyping, and deployment of AI-driven solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing RAD systems.
• Write production-quality code and maintain existing AI models.
• Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a technical liaison with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, software developers, and domain experts. Present AI strategies and discuss tradeoffs with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Data Analysis and Modeling: Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) on structured and unstructured datasets, address data quality issues, and prepare optimal inputs for AI models.
• Model Building and Evaluation: Develop, train, and validate machine learning models, implementing robust testing to ensure accuracy, performance, and fairness.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with AI and machine learning advancements, applying new methods to improve systems and solve complex problems.
• Cloud Platforms: Utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MLOps tools to deploy and manage AI/ML models at scale.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience designing and deploying AI/ML models
• Data analysis and modeling for both structured and unstructured datasets
• Production-quality coding in AI/ML frameworks
• Experience with cloud computing, specifically AWS and MLOps
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AI/ML solution design, model development, and deployment
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with intelligence systems or RAD-type platforms is a plus
