Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and comprehensive medical histories
• Assist in the diagnostic evaluation and treatment of surgical issues through imaging and laboratory data interpretation
• Collaborate intimately with surgeons on developing tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide crucial support during surgeries, including room preparation, optimal patient positioning, and instrument handling
• Deliver top-notch preoperative and postoperative care, from medication management and wound care to discharge planning and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferred completion of clinical rotations focused on surgical practice

Certification Standards

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
