About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Current Epic experience required License: Active RN license Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Epic experience Description: Hospital total bed count is 122. Unit bed count includes 3 Triage, 10 Postpartum, and 3 Labor/Delivery/Recovery. Staffing on the unit consists of 6 RNs. Call requirements may include being on-call or managing low census up to 4 times. Floating to other units is required. No weekend coverage is necessary. Every 2-3 weekends may be expected. Medication system in use is Omnicell. EMR systems utilized are Cerner and Intellispace Perinatal. No IV Teams are present. No Lift Teams are available. Pharmacy hours are from 0700-2100. Phlebotomy services are available on the unit. Transport team is not present. Unit secretary is not available on the unit. Intensivist is available 24/7 for ICU. Hospitalist services are not provided for OB. Special equipment used on this unit includes Epidural Pumps. Special procedures performed on this unit include C-Sections and Newborn Circumcisions. Scrubs are provided. Unit offers Labor, Postpartum, Newborn Care, Triage, Surgery and Recovery, Lactation Services, and is a Baby-Friendly Facility. Exclusive Epic assignment.
