Layton Hotel PortfolioWestern States Lodging & Management | Layton, UTPosition SummaryWestern States Lodging & Management is seeking a driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales strategy and revenue growth across our Layton, Utah hotel portfolio. This role supports four Marriott and Hilton branded properties: Hilton Garden Inn Layton, Home2 Suites Layton, Courtyard Layton, and TownePlace Suites Layton.The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding market presence, building strong corporate and group relationships, and driving occupancy across all assigned hotels. This is a multi-property position that requires frequent travel between locations within the Layton market.Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package designed to attract and retain top hospitality sales talent:Base salary: $50,000–$60,000 annually (dependent on experience)Performance -based incentive and bonus opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance coverage401(k) with company matchHealth Savings Account (HSA) optionPaid time off and paid holidaysMileage and travel reimbursement between propertiesHotel discounts and additional employee benefitsWhat You'll Be DoingIn this role, you will oversee sales efforts for all four Layton-area hotels, focusing on group, corporate, and transient business development. Key responsibilities include:Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Layton marketManaging and growing key corporate and group accountsResponding to leads, RFPs, and inquiries in a timely and professional mannerConducting hotel tours and negotiating contracts and rate agreementsMaintaining accurate sales activity and pipeline data in CRM systemsCollaborating closely with the Area Director of Sales and each hotel's General ManagerRepresenting the hotels at networking events, trade shows, and community functionsWorking with operations teams to ensure successful group execution and guest satisfactionSuccess MetricsPerformance in this role will be measured by occupancy growth, revenue production, sales pipeline strength, conversion ratios, and the development of new group and corporate accounts. Community engagement and market visibility will also be key indicators of success.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor 's degree in business, hospitality, or a related field-or equivalent experience5+ years of hotel sales or hospitality sales leadership experienceDemonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue goalsStrong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsProficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft OfficeAbility to travel regularly between Layton-area propertiesPreferred:Experience with Hilton and/or Marriott brandsMulti-property or regional hotel sales experienceWho Will ExcelThis position is ideal for a motivated hospitality sales professional who enjoys autonomy, building long-term relationships, and driving measurable business results.
