Position Responsibilities

Contractors will complete a wide range of property maintenance, handyman repairs, HVAC services, troubleshooting, and improvement projects for residential and commercial properties.

General Handyman & Property Maintenance Services

• Drywall repair, patching, and wall restoration

• Interior and exterior property repairs

• Door installation, adjustment, and repair

• Lock, handle, and hardware replacement

• Cabinet repair and installation

• Shelving and mounting services

• Carpentry repairs

• Trim and molding repair

• Painting and touch-up work

• Flooring repair and minor installation

• Caulking and sealing

• Preventive maintenance services

• Property inspections

• Punch list completion and make-ready services

Plumbing Maintenance Services

• Faucet repair and replacement

• Toilet repair and installation

• Garbage disposal replacement

• Sink repair and installation

• Supply line replacement

• Minor water leak repairs

• Drain clearing

• Plumbing fixture installation

Electrical Maintenance Services

• Light fixture installation and replacement

• Ceiling fan installation

• Outlet and switch replacement

• GFCI troubleshooting and replacement

• Smoke detector installation

• Basic electrical troubleshooting

Contractor Responsibilities

Successful technicians will:

• Diagnose issues accurately and complete repairs professionally

• Perform residential and commercial service calls

• Provide excellent customer service

• Take detailed photos before, during, and after work completion

• Submit accurate job notes, estimates, and completion reports

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Complete digital work orders on time

• Communicate professionally with customers and office staff

Contractor Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in handyman, maintenance, HVAC, construction, or related trades preferred

• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Professional communication and customer service skills

• Valid driver’s license

• Reliable transportation

• Own professional hand tools

• Smartphone with internet access

• Ability to upload job photos and complete digital work orders

• Willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius of Richmond, VA

• General liability insurance is a plus
