Position Summary

Responsible for general labor in warehouse department.

Essential Position Functions and Duties

• Perform visual inspections of finished, shrink-wrapped products to ensure they are free from visible damage and meet quality standards.
• Band and secure pallets and products to prevent damage during transport or storage
• Maintain awareness of product and shipment priorities and perform work activities accordingly to support efficient warehouse operations and customer service requirements
• Assist with pulling and staging ingredients and packaging materials as needed when primary job responsibilities permit.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization by sweeping floors, removing debris and disposing of waste in designated receptacles.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Knowledge: basic mathematics-addition, subtraction, multiplication
3. English Language (Speaking/Listening/Writing)
4. Skills: Communication skills verbal and written, reading comprehension, active listening, problem solving, coordination, service orientation, multitasking

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

1. High school diploma or equivalent

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Expected Working Hours

This is a full-time position, and basic hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.  Hours depending on shift. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a warehouse environment and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling activities. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, warehouse equipment, moving machinery, and moderate noise levels. Adherence to all safety, food safety, and housekeeping standards is required at all times.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk and stand.   This is a physical role.  This would require the ability to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, climb.  This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 lbs.  Must wear non-slip resistant shoes.
