Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments, including aerosol and nebulizer therapies, high flow nasal cannula, and trach collar oxygen therapy.
  
  
• 
  Perform airway management procedures such as extubation, nasal airway placements, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.
  
  
• 
  Troubleshoot and manage mechanical ventilators, including weaning processes and high-pressure alarm resolution.
  
  
• 
  Assess patient conditions to deliver appropriate interventions and document clinical activities accurately in EPIC.
  
  
• 
  Maintain competency in adult critical care protocols, trauma-level 1 standards, and emergency procedures.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RRT SC license.
  
  
• 
  Possess ACLS and BLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience.
  
  
• 
  Proficient in adult critical care procedures, including ventilator management, airway placement, and aerosol medication delivery.
  
  
• 
  Have experience with EPIC EMR, with at least 1 year of documentation proficiency.
  
  
• 
  Capable of floating to other units based on competency and staffing needs.
