Job TitlePosition will be hybrid on-site/remote, 3 days per week on site at the downtown Richmond (VA) location.Job Duties Include, But Aren’t Limited To:Design programs that are understandable, efficient, and easily maintainedEvaluate and recommend approaches to enhance and/or streamline application performance that fit within the technology stack available to the agencyAssists with efforts to address technical debt issuesFully explore, analyze, and document various technical options and approaches before, during and after meetings. Review options with team members for collaborative input and to gain common understanding of solution design. Prepare documentation of designed functions or entire applications; documentation may include: entity relationship diagrams, function model diagrams, communications model statements, data flow diagrams, process-to-product statements, environment definition, risk analysisParticipate in system, integration and functional testingEnsure that all code adheres to the Agency security engineering principles in Commonwealth SEC 501 and DMV PolicyHelp mentor and assist development staff with learning and applying new analysis and development skillsAssist with production support efforts, in conjunction with designated on-call person, and assume lead POC responsibilities as neededQualifications:Extensive and current working experience with object-oriented analysis and design – 10+ yrs - RequiredExtensive and current working experience in design and development of software applications using Visual Studio and.NET framework – 10+ yrs - RequiredCurrent working experience with .NET client and services development, database development & SQL – 10+ yrs - RequiredExtensive working experience with software and hardware integrations – 5+ yrs - RequiredWorking experience with application support and troubleshooting – 5+ yrs - RequiredCurrent working experience with network architecture and network services – 5 yrs- PreferredExtensive working experience with data interchange formats such as XML and JSON – 5+ yrs - RequiredTechnical writing skills for preparation of accurate and timely documentation (project planning, development documentation, change control requests, etc) - RequiredWorking experience serving on software development projects of varying scope and complexity – 10+ yrs - RequiredExperience serving as a mentor to coworkers of various skill levels – 2+ yrs - PreferredEffective communication, presentation, and reasoning skills, with the ability to work well in a team oriented, collaborative environment, and with users across all levels of experience – RequiredCurrent experience with Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps Server – 2+ yrs - PreferredWorking experience with system development methodologies including Agile – 5+ yrs - RequiredExperience conducting and documenting system, integration, and functional testing - PreferredRequired Skills:.NET, C#, Visual Studio, XML, JASON Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: Background Check: Yes Drug Screen: Yes
