Test Technician

Summary Performs the set‑up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set‑up of specialized test equipment. Responsibilities Adheres to all safety requirements. Maintains a clean work area. Assists in training other employees on production skills. Assists in preventative maintenance of standard production equipment. Skills, Knowledge, Training, and Certifications Familiarity with business tools such as e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired. High School Diploma or equivalent; 0–1 year of experience. Job Complexity Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision‑making. Supervision Normally receives detailed instructions on work and works under close supervision. Environment and Physical Requirements Heavy work that may require lifting/moving up to 100 lbs. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies frequently. Reaching above the shoulder frequently. Above‑average agility and dexterity with ability to hold, grasp, and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools occasionally. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) and handles physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion. Exposure to chemicals, electrical current, proximity to moving mechanical parts, repetitive hand motion, open flame, work from heights, cold/hot environment, uneven surface, fumes. No travel required. Valid driver’s license if required.
