Senior Accountant
\nGreater Chicago | Hybrid
\n \nA leading global healthcare products and supply chain organization is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Consolidations & Reporting team. With a large, complex global organization and continued growth, this is an opportunity to take on highly visible work across financial reporting, consolidations, process improvement and strategic business initiatives.
\n \nThis role would be a great fit for someone with a background in financial reporting, consolidations or technical accounting who enjoys working cross-functionally and wants exposure to complex accounting matters.
\n \nWhat You'll Do:
\n- \n
- Support the monthly global close, consolidations and financial reporting \n
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting records and reporting deliverables \n
- Prepare consolidations, intercompany eliminations and topside journal entries \n
- Review intercompany balances and reconciliations and help strengthen related controls and processes \n
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and other teams across the organization \n
- Support accounting and reporting implications of acquisitions, divestitures and internal reorganizations \n
- Assist with new accounting standard implementations and related system changes \n
- Contribute to process improvement, system integration and other finance transformation initiatives \n
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on key reporting and accounting deliverables \n
What We're Looking For:
\n- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field \n
- 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, consolidations or technical accounting \n
- Strong understanding of GAAP \n
- Strong analytical and Excel skills \n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with large amounts of data \n
- Experience with a public company, SEC reporting or public accounting experience with public-company clients is a plus \n
- Experience with a large, global or multi-entity organization is a plus \n
- Experience with consolidation systems such as Oracle EPM, FCCS, Tagetik or BPC is a plus \n
- CPA is strongly preferred \n
