Medical Assistant/NurseCandidates must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate should have clinical experience and a job history exhibiting stability and longevity.The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive:Serve as a patient advocate during patient exams and treatment.Recording medical history and confirming the purpose of the visit.Ensure proper documentation is obtained prior to preparing the patient for treatment.Prepares patients for examination.Help providers examine and treat patients. Many hands-on elements such as blood draws, injections, wound care, and assisting during procedures are a requirement for this position.HIPAA compliance and safe OSHA practicesMaintain accurate electronic charts in EHRPatient EducationReturning patient phone callsUnder provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmaciesCollecting, documenting, and delivering lab specimensMedical Assistant/Nurse Skills and Qualifications:Willingness to learn new skillsAbility to effectively communicate with staff and patientsOrganizationPossess a strong work ethic and high level of professionalismConfidentialityMaintain a positive, caring attitude towards patientsPractices teamworkMedical Specialty: Dermatology.Schedule: 8-hour shift.May have to travel for training to one of our other offices.
