Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week float pool assignment requiring Level 1 trauma experience for first-time travelers and an active MA RN license.

Details

Nursing Float Pool unit within a hospital setting
12-hour rotating day/night shifts (7p-7:30a, 7a-7:30p), rotating in 4-week blocks
36 hours per week with weekly Monday start dates
Every other weekend required (Sat/Sun for days, Fri/Sat/Sun for nights)
No time off approved during Christmas
Patient ratios between 1:4-6
Floating required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks while on shift

Requirements

Active MA RN license required in hand
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications preferred
Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required for candidates without prior travel experience
Copy of flu vaccination required during flu season

Additional Information

Day one pass/fail testing administered for Tele/ECG and medication competency
Relias practice tests available for preparation
Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for a minimum of 6 months (perm, per diem, or contract) to be considered
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
First-time travelers considered, though Level 1 trauma experience is required without prior travel history
