Operations Manager

Job PurposeProvides leadership and support to all personnel within the assigned Area. Works closely with the Area Director of Operations and Doctors to ensure all business aspects of the practices are functioning orderly, effectively, and efficiently. This individual strives to bring out the best in the entire staff, for the benefit of our patients and our business. The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of their assigned Clinic Staff and to support the Operating Doctors. The Operations Manager’s goal is to ensure the company vision is attained, the values are upheld, and our culture is representative of the Enhance Way.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAt all times, model the Vision and Values of EnhanceLead the Practice Staff and work as a direct support mechanism for the Practice DoctorsCarry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and processesCoordinate the office and employees schedule based on needReview and approve employee timeResponsible for training and developing highly motivated teams of professionals with direction from the ADOProvide guidance, coaching, and leadership to all staff membersWork cooperatively with Area Director or Operations and Doctors to communicate and reinforce changes in policies and processes to staffHold weekly Clinic Leadership Meetings with staff and Doctors, focusing on vision, people, data, issues, process and tractionOwn and execute the End of Month and Accounts Payable process in the clinicsMonitor lab and supply expensesHire staff when deemed necessaryPerform GWC reviews, recommend promotions and terminations with close guidance from the ADOReward and discipline employees when necessaryUse conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques in managing interpersonal conflict and patient issuesAddress complaints and resolve issues reported from the clinicsMaintain positive working relationships between the clinics and Corporate Teams that support the clinicsDemonstrate a positive can-do attitudeDemonstrate emotional and mental maturity, the ability to engender trust, and model an “always ready to listen” mentalityTreat patients, visitors and co-workers with respect and courtesyStep directly into clinic staff roles when necessaryModel organization, motivation, and a commitment to excellenceDemonstrate ability to use the clinic’s computer software and other equipmentIncrease knowledge and skills through self-study and other educationMaintain dependable job attendanceComply with all Enhance Management policies, processes and State/Federal rules and regulationsComply with all OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Adhere to all safety and infection control rules. Uses appropriate safety equipmentComply with HIPAA and maintain confidential informationReport ethics and compliance violations to Area Director of OperationsPerforms other duties as assignedEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferredExperience: 5+ years experience in dental required, 3+ years experience in managing a team preferredWorking ConditionsDental practices run at a fast pace and Operations Managers will be required to keep up with the flow of doctors and patients.Works in a typical office setting with climate controlPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
