Job Description Seasonal Social Worker LCSW (260001JG) InterHealth Staffing, a for-profit division of Tampa General Hospital (TGH), offers a 13‑week seasonal assignment with competitive base pay and potential for contract extensions based on unit needs. TGH is the region’s leading safety net hospital, affiliated with USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and serving as the primary teaching hospital for the university. The Seasonal Social Worker – LCSW creates optimal outcomes for patients and families by managing complex psychosocial and economic co‑morbidities. Through advanced practice skills, you will mobilize resources to reduce risk and serve as an ambassador between the hospital and the community. Your services will help patients and families benefit from treatment, cope with their medical condition, and participate in their care. You will coordinate transitions of care for patients with high psychosocial needs, develop and maintain local, state, and federal service liaisons, and support the efforts of HIM and Patient Accounts by ensuring accurate data entry in multiple information systems. Collaboration with Care Coordinators and interdisciplinary team members is essential for reviewing multidisciplinary plans of care and ensuring all psychosocial status updates are communicated at rounds or huddles. You will monitor progress toward the goals of the social work plan of care and revise it as needed. Assessment of any potential obstacles to successful reintegration into the community and escalation through appropriate channels are part of your role. You will perform all duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. Qualifications MSW degree from a C.S.W.E.–accredited college or university Social Work program. At least 2 years’ experience in a health care facility or program. Pediatric experience strongly preferred. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required. Emergency Department experience preferred.
