Solutions Architect

Requirements Must have: We need proven experience building and shipping applications, ideally with native iOS/iPadOS development in Swift and SwiftUI. We need experience developing and supporting back-end services, APIs, and databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar. We need experience designing and maintaining cloud-based systems and integrations. We need comfort working across software development, systems administration, and IT support. We need experience with off-the-shelf workflow automation and integration tools. We need experience administering CRM, ERP, or similar business systems. Responsibilities: We design and build native iOS/iPadOS applications in Swift and SwiftUI, taking features from concept through deployment and ongoing refinement. We develop and maintain back-end services, APIs, and data models that support our applications. We create and operate automations and integrations that connect our core platforms in a secure, scalable, observable, and reliable way. We manage our core systems and develop a deep understanding of the platforms used at PlugPV. We work with management and internal teams to translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions. We provide technical direction throughout the project lifecycle and partner with operations to improve processes. We stay current on cloud technologies, development practices, and industry trends, then apply that knowledge to recommend innovative solutions. We serve as a trusted technical advisor to our employees, helping communicate complex concepts clearly and aligning technology efforts with business goals. We identify risks in proposed solutions and recommend mitigation strategies. We manage hardware and end-user devices, including procurement, setup, and lifecycle support. We handle additional duties as needed. We are PlugPV, a turnkey residential and commercial solar energy provider serving homeowners and small businesses across the US. This is an in-person, full-time role based in Troy, NY, reporting to our Director of Technology and sitting at the center of our technology stack.
