We are seeking a dynamic Senior Director of Nursing to join our Northwest Arkansas team. In this role, you will lead Perioperative/OR/Inpatient/PACU Services at NWA Total Orthopedic and Surgical Hospital (TOSH), partnering with the Administrative Director and department leaders to advance our mission of delivering exceptional, patient- and family-centered care, while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and strong physician and staff relationships across ambulatory and inpatient care.

• Active RN with a graduate degree in nursing or related field
• 10+ years of nursing experience, including 4+ years in RN leadership
• National Nursing Certification
• Proven ability to lead clinical, operational, and financial aspects of patient care services

• Assess staffing and throughput to meet patient acuity and productivity targets; drive patient satisfaction, clinical metrics, employee engagement, and workforce stability; coach and develop staff; ensure compliance with CNO standards and patient-family centered care.

Collaboration

• Lead strategic planning and vision with the leadership triad; enable success across the hospital and MSK sites; foster cross-team collaboration.

Customer Service

• Engage with the public professionally; communicate clearly and confidentially; maintain strong stakeholder relationships and uphold patient- and family-centered care.

Program Development

• Oversee hiring, training, and evaluation of licensed and unlicensed staff; partner with informatics for data-driven care and research; align with Magnet standards; promote ongoing education and clinical research participation.

Quality Improvement

• Participate in CLP Nursing Director Roundtable; lead quality initiatives; advocate for high-quality, efficient nursing practice across NWA TOSH and MSK sites.

Perform other duties to advance the mission of UAMS
