Front End Lead Part Time

Job Summary Oversees the frontline in the absence of the Front End Manager, coaches, teaches and develops all frontline team members to ensure excellent member service, and drives membership and member experience goals through monitoring, coaching, and operational execution. Responsibilities Supervise the front line (cashiers, self‑checkout, membership desk) in the absence of the Front End Manager. Coach, train and develop frontline team members to deliver excellent member service. Monitor and drive membership metrics through acquisition, retention, loyalty and experience programs. Drive member engagement, speed and productivity on the front end. Ensure all membership products are offered and member orders and requests are processed accurately and timely. Handle front‑end responsibilities such as closing POS, managing self‑checkout lanes, assisting members with technical issues, scanning merchandise, and maintaining merchandise accuracy. Use cashier observation forms, productivity boards and membership metrics reports to evaluate and improve performance. Ensure cleanliness and compliance of service areas and uphold club standards. Act as backup for cashiers and Membership Sales Ambassadors when required. Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments when needed. Maintain regular, predictable attendance and comply with scheduling requirements. Leadership and Team Development Exhibit strategic thinking and sound decision‑making using business data. Lead through change, model leadership competencies, build credibility and act as a champion for business growth. Communicate effectively and provide teams with the information needed to succeed. Build a high‑performing team culture of collaboration and accountability. Provide honest, timely direction, follow‑up and feedback that drive business results and team member engagement. Schedule & Availability Nighttime availability is required: Sunday 4:00pm–9:00pm and Thursday–Saturday 5:00pm–10:00pm. Qualifications Prior leadership experience preferred. Prior membership or sales knowledge and experience preferred. Prior cashier experience preferred. Basic math skills required. Job Conditions Work frequently on hard surfaces and may need to bend, stoop, reach, pull, or lift objects up to 30lbs (with assistance for heavier loads). Work in a comfortable indoor area with occasional exposure to cleaning agents. Work may involve moderate noise and temperature extremes minimal. Compensation Pay range: $19.00–$23.75 per hour.
