Supervisor Charge Nurse - Med Surg and ER

Schedule

This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, working on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for a total of 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Supervisor Charge Nurse will serve as a working supervisor in both the Medical Surgical Unit and the Emergency Room. This role is essential for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while overseeing the nursing staff. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in clinical duties and will demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Med Surg and ER units.
• Coordinate patient care activities and manage staff assignments.
• Provide direct patient care as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
• Support and mentor nursing staff to enhance professional development.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• Experience in a supervisory role or charge nurse position preferred.
• Please submit any OB/Newborn Stabilization education/training received.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
