Nursing - PACU

Job Title: PACU Location: Hilo, Hawaii Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate : $54 - $58/hr Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PACU for a temporary assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend. Responsibilities for a PACU: Provide care for patients in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery settings Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and post-anesthesia patient care Assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track indicators of patient stability or complications Apply critical care skills to evaluate and manage post-surgical patients Operate and utilize unit equipment including Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair PAWS Warmers, HP Monitors, and Phillips Monitors Maintain valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Maintain a valid professional license within the state of practice Hold or obtain a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential from the American Heart Association as recommended or required Obtain and maintain other specialty-related certifications as required (e.g., NIHSS, TNCC) Work shifts varying between 8, 10, and 12 hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays across ASU and PACU units Fulfill on-call shift requirements of 0-3 times per month, including 8-hour night and 24-hour weekend/holiday on-call shifts Provide proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical or religious exception prior to contract start Possess or obtain an active State of Hawaii license prior to start of assignment Arrive in advance of start date to complete employee health clearance appointment Benefits for a PACU: Weekly pay every Friday Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Pet Insurance 401K Retirement Plan (matching) Full-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel Team Referral Bonus up to $1,500 Astrya Global Medical Staffing offers 10+ years of staffing experience, 100% domestic support, and is certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
