This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex construction projects. You will work closely with engineering and business development teams to define project scope, plan construction activities, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organize, and provide clear direction to project teams and clients from pre-construction through project completion and warranty periods.
• Promote and enforce safety programs, trainings, and policies, ensuring subcontractors, vendors, and all site personnel, including visitors, maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
• Oversee day-to-day project operations, including planning, coordination, and execution of all construction activities.
• Create, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure all milestones and overall project deadlines are met.
• Understand and manage contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering and business development teams to develop project scope, cost budgets, and estimates.
• Develop project budgets and maintain accurate control and projections of project costs throughout construction.
• Coordinate closely with the onsite Construction Manager, subcontractors, and vendors to align field operations with project goals.
• Procure materials and equipment as needed to support project schedules and budget constraints.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, and clearly communicate impacts and updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Perform construction administration duties, including managing contracts, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, RFIs, owner training, project closeout, and as-built documentation.
• Identify potential issues early, develop solutions, and resolve problems to keep projects on track.
• Mentor and support team members within your area of responsibility, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Report and escalate critical issues, risks, and opportunities to leadership as needed for timely decision-making.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and resources effectively.
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and project partners, consistently exceeding their expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and proactively offer assistance to team members to support overall project success.
• Act as a steward of the organization’s culture by modeling integrity, collaboration, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Skills

• At least ten years of experience in a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager role within industrial, civil, mechanical, or general construction.
• Proven experience managing construction projects of varying size and complexity, including projects ranging from approximately $5,000,000 to $50,000,000.
• Strong knowledge of general construction processes, means, and methods, particularly in industrial water processes and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with building systems, including electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, boilers, thermal systems, and controls.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and oversee multiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
• Solid construction management experience, including responsibility for project financials, scheduling, and contractor qualification.
• Proficiency in handling RFIs, reporting, and other construction administration documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and requests for proposals or quotations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use available resources creatively to achieve project objectives.
• Excellent organizational skills, with clear and concise written and verbal communication and strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on industrial facilities such as wastewater treatment, biogas, or renewable energy plants.
• Background in collaborating with engineering and business development teams to define project scope and execution strategies.
• Experience managing large, multi-disciplinary project teams in a field-based environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members in a project environment.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-project setting with competing priorities.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily on active construction sites, requiring consistent adherence to safety standards and collaboration with construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and engineering teams. The role involves regular use of construction management tools and documentation processes such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reporting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $75.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Los Angeles,CA.
