Assistant Supervisor - 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm)

Baxter seeks an Assistant Supervisor for second shift (3pm–11pm) manufacturing operations at its Cleveland facility. The role involves supporting production of sterile medical solutions while balancing operational execution with frontline leadership, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain safe work environment; conduct safety walks and apply 6S principles
- Set up production lines, operate equipment as needed, ensure labor efficiency, identify staffing gaps
- Motivate and develop production team; support hiring, onboarding, and training activities
- Perform quality checks, review batch documentation, investigate deviations, and stop production if necessary
- Lead troubleshooting with Quality and Maintenance; communicate shift handoff information to ensure continuity
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- Basic English written and oral communication; ability to read work instructions and drawings
- Basic mathematics proficiency
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; flexible schedule and overtime availability
- PIV operator certification (possess or obtain); inspector certification (possess or obtain)
- Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out and environmental health and safety procedures
Compensation: $52,000 - $58,000 annually
